You do not need to build a custom mobile app to test a loyalty program. A wallet pass can be the card people save, scan, and come back to.

The simple setup

Use Passports Studio to create a loyalty pass, publish a claim page, and share it through a link or QR code.

Customers save the pass to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. From there, you can update the card and send messages tied to rewards, visits, or events.

Use it for rewards, VIP customers, local offers, appointment perks, community access, or member-only updates.

For example, a bakery could start with a saved card for regulars and send a weekend pastry drop. A boutique could use it for private sale reminders.

A custom app is often too much for an early loyalty program. It asks customers to install something before you have proven they want the program.
